Vidatec undergoes successful management buyout
Scotland based digital transformation specialists, Vidatec, announce a Management Buyout which will see current Managing Director, Ross Wilson, take the helm to embark on a journey of growth focusing on Health & Wellbeing, Tourism and Sustainability sectors, as well as the exciting developments for Microsoft Teams Apps.
This will see the company debark from the Insights Group structure which has been under the same umbrella for 7 however, the people development company, Insights, also based in Dundee, remains a committed investor in the business and retain a 20% stake.
Ross, who has a wealth of experience in commercial and people leadership roles, has built-up specialist knowledge of the tech sector over the past 6 years at Vidatec. As part of his 16 years within the Group, Ross has held various roles, including Global Client Director at Insights and Sales Director at Vidatec. These roles have set up Ross to continue the growth of the business and has been leading Vidatec as Managing Director since August.

Insights will continue as a client of Vidatec’s, working together on pioneering new tech projects such as a custom Microsoft Teams App based on Insights colour theories.
